Getting a Bit Nervous
Last week I sold my house — so I am officially shop-less. (This is a lot like being homeless, but for me personally, a bit more stressful.) Now, as you may know, I have taken pride over the years in making many of my Christmas and holiday presents in my shop. And as you may remember, I have turned procrastination into something of an art form. (I teach a class on it at Columbia.) The takeaway from all those facts is that this year I may actually have to BUY Christmas presents. It is barbaric.
And the risk involved is tremendous as well. What if my family likes the purchased gifts better than the handmade ones? As far as I can see, there is no upside to this situation. Perhaps I can skip the holidays this year?
