A Lot Going On!

Rob-Portrait351Have you ever heard the saying “I failed to see the forest for the trees?” That concept was driven home clearly to me as I watched the video we just made previewing the July-August Woodworker’s Journal print issue. I have to say that, as I watched descriptions of what we have put together, I was weirdly impressed. (Some of the video is of me … speaking of weird.)

Obviously, I knew what we had put in those pages, but as field editor Chris Marshall and I talked about the magazine’s various projects and reviews in the video, I was reminded of the broad scope of the magazine and was very proud of the effort.

Now, I can hear some of you thinking, “Gee, try not to break your arm, Rob, as you enthusiastically pat yourself on the back!” But if you are not a regular reader of the print Woodworker’s Journal, I hope that you go to the video to get an idea of what you are missing. It reminded me that my staff does a great job putting together the best woodworking magazine around … and if you are not reading it, you are really missing a lot.

    It’s For the Birds

A book mentioned in the What’s In Store section of the last issue of the eZine prompted this reader to write in with a link to his own write-up, which includes tips on where to put your birdhouse so that it’s safe for your fine feathered friends.
