Rock ’em, Sock ’em – Talk About Tools!
In this corner — weighing considerably more than his doctor is comfortable with – is Rob “Cool as a Cuke” Johnstone. And in the opposing corner is the challenger, Chris “Fire” Marshall. What in the world am I talking about? The AWFS Battle-Blog Royale, that’s what! It is an online blog in which Woodworker’s Journal field editor Chris Marshall and yours truly will be putting forward our best entries gleaned from the summer’s biggest new tool trade show. You folks get to vote on whose entry is the most interesting and entertaining each day – just by offering up your opinions right on the blog itself. (Doing so can enter you in a contest to win some really cool prizes.) It should be a lot of fun, and a great place to see the newest tools of the year, hot off the virtual presses.
So, by the time that the first of you are reading this, I will be winging my way to Las Vegas, Nevada with my entourage. (Can just one person be called “an entourage”? Hmm.)
A word to the wise: I know that popular opinion would put the smart money on the young, enthusiastic challenger – but just remember that old guys like me are cagey!
