Let Freedom Turn
Just in time for the Fourth of July, we have a great story to share. Don’t get confused, but this issue’s Tool Preview has nothing to do with tools (well, maybe it’s a little bit about lathes). We’ve used that bit of Internet space to tell the story of the Freedom Pen Project recently hosted by Rockler Woodworking and Hardware and Sawmill Creek Woodworking Forums. It is a wonderful and uplifting story … be sure to click over to it.
Have a happy Fourth of July and if the urge to turn strikes you, be sure and equip yourself with a pen kit … there’s still time to send a soldier a pen and help Sawmill Creek reach their ultimate goal of 20,000 pens!
Sincerely,
— Rob Johnstone, Woodworker’s Journal
